For BCD India, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been the cornerstone of success right from
inception. CSR, also called corporate conscience, corporate citizenship, social performance, or
sustainable responsible business is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into our
business model. Our CSR policy functions as a built-in, self-regulating mechanism whereby a business
monitors and ensures its active compliance within the spirit of the law, ethical standards, and
international norms. BCDs approach to corporate citizenship is an instinctive one. We recognise that
we exist in a wider world, and that we have responsibilities beyond our own business. We , at BCD aim
to embrace responsibility for the company's actions and encourage a positive impact through its activities
on the environment, consumers, employees, communities,
stakeholders and all other members of the public sphere who may also be considered as stakeholders.
A more common approach to our CSR is corporate philanthropy. This includes monetary donations and aid given to local and non-local nonprofits organizations and communities, including donations in areas such as the arts, education, housing, health, social welfare, and the environment,
among others, but excluding political contributions and commercial sponsorship of events .
Not just instinctive, our approach is also an active one. We encourage all of our people to take part in initiatives to help the wider world. And we are proud to do so.
In particular, we have focused our sustainability efforts on:
-
Improving education in our communities, so that future generations have opportunities for professional and personal growth
-
Providing nutrition, clothing & medical care
-
Reducing pressure on limited natural resources required to meet rising consumer demand
-
Providing a safe workplace while promoting professional development
-
Maintaining high standards of business ethics and conduct
-
Delivering top notch quality tangible business advantages to our clients
